2 Questions About Adsense Approval

I have read in many places that a domain needs to be at least 2 months old for Adsense approval. I have also read about many people opening a new site and getting approval within 10 days or so. What does this mean? I have an Adsense account that I opened for YouTube years ago. I had forgotten about it until I tried to open a second account and received a warning. There is 3.75TL accrued from YouTube in that account. Will having this existing account with earned money benefit the approval of my site?
