Accounting Software and SQL

Hello friends, I don't really understand the system, so let me briefly explain the situation to you: The company is using an accounting program. There is one server and 15 users connecting, performing tasks, etc. Today, our system engineer mentioned that we need to acquire SQL due to data load. I noticed that there might be an issue with 228-10817 SQLSvrStd 2016 SNGL OLP NL (1 unit) and 359-06322 SQLCAL 2016 SNGL OLP NL UsrCAL (15 units for 15 users) as it seems to cost a significant amount. How can we solve this issue? Can we find any alternatives without resorting to unauthorized sources? Is there a free version available? Can we lower the cost?
