Backend or Artificial Intelligence?

I am very interested in two areas, but I have more knowledge and experience in backend. However, the field of artificial intelligence fascinates me a lot. While researching about backend, my mind keeps wandering towards artificial intelligence. I think the reason for this is that I might be getting bored of the web. My brain is now telling me to shift to a different field. However, I want the field I choose to be my profession. I want to sustain my life based on the area I choose. But as I mentioned, I am currently torn between artificial intelligence and backend. I wanted to ask you as well if you have any advice or suggestion for me?
