Comparison of Liferay and Wordpress

Colleagues asked me to research Liferay for the company's internal portal. I'm wondering why we're not using WordPress instead. If any issues arise, it will be easier to troubleshoot with WordPress. I heard that Liferay integrates with SAP software, but I'm not sure if WordPress does. Is there anyone familiar with Liferay who can explain its advantages over WordPress? I'm looking forward to insights from experienced colleagues.
