Hello everyone, you are familiar with the topic. There is a new law related to social media income. I follow some channels on YouTube that keep posting videos about this topic. They are giving wrong guidance by advising people to go to the tax office and open a taxpayer identification number to obtain an exemption certificate, resulting in them having to pay Ba?-Kur. What's worse is that they film videos, tell others that what they are doing is correct, and convince them to do the same. This is because the friends working at the tax office are not aware of the issue, treating everyone who comes as YouTubers and opening taxpayer identification number with the code "591103 - Cinematography, video, and television program production activities (including documentary production)." However, the law does not only apply to video creators but also to those who share text or develop applications. This law is not only about YouTube; could it be that the friends at the tax office have not fully read the law? Isn't what they are doing wrong? There must be a tax office employee saying, "How will people earning 200-300 lira pay for Ba?-Kur? There must be a mistake in this," I am sure. Moreover, the law does not mention payment for Ba?-Kur, it only states that a 15% withholding tax will be applied. Could it be that people have not read and understood this very simple law? I am curious about your opinions on this matter. If possible, without creating controversy :)
