How can you tell if your computer is being monitored?

Earlier, while playing a game, I was getting around 30-40 ms values, and suddenly the screen went black. When the screen came back, the ms had stabilized at 15. It felt like I was streaming and it had been cut off. Could my computer have been hacked? If it was hacked, how can I tell? I have a Kaspersky subscription that is constantly active. I have been connected to the internet from home since yesterday.
