How to connect Asic miner?

I purchased an Innosilicon ASIC miner, but I am having trouble finding the IP address to access the machine's interface. I connect the Ethernet cable between the modem and the device. I also connect my laptop to the Ethernet. I have downloaded several scanner programs but still couldn't find it. Is there anyone knowledgeable in these matters? (I am unable to access the modem interface as it is not under my name, and I do not know the password and username.)
