Is Ad Inserter not displaying ads on the desktop?

Hello everyone. I have added advertisements using Ad Inserter. However, while there are no issues displaying ads on mobile devices, on desktop, the ads sometimes appear and disappear. The area either shows up as a blank space or in yellow, sometimes it seems like it's not there at all. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?
