Is video required in mobile app download ads?

Hello everyone, I want to download a mobile app via Google Ads, and I only want to appear in search engines and maybe with visual ads related to this. However, when setting up the ad, it requires a video, and it only adds text to the preview when converting it to video. Is there no chance to appear only with text in the search engine? Can I start the process without selecting the video and visual category?
