Since 2015, I have had a website, and in 2018, I opened another site. Towards the end of 2019, the sites started making money, which surprised me. I had no idea about SEO and related terms. I had installed an SEO plugin and done the standard things related to Google. Now I understand that using an SEO plugin, filling out descriptions, etc., is not necessary. Even sending an XML sitemap is not necessary. I read questions and answers with Google officials on foreign sources, and they explain everything. If you use WordPress, all effective themes are already SEO compatible, so no extra effort is needed. Just focus on creating content. Depending on the industry and competitors, a few lines of text and a few images can help you rank high. Backlinks are essential. I never bought backlinks, but I started linking between my two sites and subdomain to aid user experience, not for SEO purposes. This strategy helped both of my sites rank on the first page of Google search results. Links are naturally coming from sites related to my industry and from Pinterest. Quality backlinks from forums and sites that I was unaware of also contributed to my site's visibility. In conclusion, what matters to Google is not the length of descriptions or the number of words in the content, but having high-quality content and getting recommended by other sites through backlinks. This is based on my personal experience. Respectfully.
