OBS screen not showing

When I try to record with OBS or when I want to record, I select the screen in the screen capture tool, but when I start recording in the game, it stays on a black screen. The same thing happens when I try to record the application in full screen mode. Only when I capture the desktop screen can I record the game, but then all my notifications show up on the video when I Alt-Tab.
