phpMyAdmin cannot find the table

The title is a bit average but I couldn't figure out how to describe it, I've been dealing with it for a few days now. While working on localhost, I'm writing config.php to establish a connection to the database, but config.php is not providing access to the database I created. I researched the error code that says it won't connect if the name is wrong, but I've tried everything and couldn't resolve it.
