Hello, I currently have an e-commerce website, check it out at www.bakburadavar.com but there are many shortcomings in this system. I purchased under the name of Ninja Theme (Ninja Advertisement Theme) and as a novice user excited about this, I did not initially notice the deficiencies. Frankly, the company (Ninja Theme) did not show much interest in addressing the shortcomings. I am seeing the deficiencies of the system, taking notes, sharing them in the employer section, but after saying "these should be done", those interested in the job seem to find these tasks difficult as no one is providing a response.
Nevertheless, a few people kindly suggested, "it would be cheaper to have it built from scratch by a friend." The reasons for opening this post are also due to the suggestions of these friends. The current deficiencies in my system are as follows:
- (Priority) A contact form should be added under the Communication tab. I tried to add Contact Form 7, but due to an error in the Jquery plugin in step 3 of adding an advertisement, it cannot be used. In other words, even by adding a plugin for the contact form, you cannot overcome this deficiency.
- (Priority) Reputation and comment system. Comments and ratings after shopping are essential for an e-commerce site.
- (Priority) When a user sends a message to another user, they should receive an email alert and an instant notification (similar to WmAraci). Also, errors occur such as receiving a "bill deleted" notification when a message is deleted from the message menu, and these need to be corrected.
- (Priority) Email notifications should be sent to users for approved and unapproved ads. When an ad is posted, email information should also be sent to the admin.
- Jetpack cannot be used! The Jquery plugin in step 3 of adding an advertisement is still generating errors here as well. This plugin in this step needs to be fixed.
- SEO settings (many SEO settings on this site have been done by me. But they need to be reviewed) and useful plugin installations and configurations.
- The ability to define a Paypal account for sales with additional fees and activate Paypal payments on the site. The Paypal account that will receive commissions from these sales should be determined by me in the admin panel.
- On the last page of the ad you created, in addition to the "Save and Continue" button, another button should be added in case of an error throughout the ad, such as an "Edit" button.
- Contact information cannot be entered or edited in user profiles. While all users enter city information when signing up, it remains as standard such as "Adana" and cannot be changed. It should be changeable, and the city information set during the first membership should also be displayed as standard in advertisements.
- A maximum of 10 images should be allowed to be uploaded, not exceeding 3 MB. If possible, the system should adjust the format of images that do not comply with the required format.
- The city and district sections on the My Account page are not changing. You modify them, save them, but it's not getting corrected.
- The "DEAL" section should also be included among the paid categories.
- When editing ads in the "My Ads Pending Approval" section, users cannot correctly determine the price entry. For example, if you write 12,000, it becomes 12.00 TL. There is no problem when written without a period in the administration panel, but users are subject to the automatic comma imposed by the system and problems may arise.
- The first default tab in all ads should be the "From the Realtor" tab, instead of this, the "From the Owner" tab should be marked.
- The date an ad was boosted is also shown as the end time. For example, a boost purchased for one month on 24.01.2015 should be displayed until 24.02.2015, but currently, it is shown as 24.01.2015, causing issues when going live. Manual date entry is required.
- The issue related to h1 > h2 tags needs to be resolved. These tags are not being used.
- Email or phone confirmation should be required in membership registrations.
I'm at a loss as to where to begin. I think it must be very difficult to fix these deficiencies as no one is saying "I'll do it." It's possible, of course, we made a mistake due to our inexperience. However, it is necessary to turn back while there's still time.
