Should visitors be allowed to leave comments or should this permission only be given to members? I am asking this for a reason. In our daily lives, after coming across a forum following a search, sometimes we want to make a comment while reading a topic but give up on commenting to avoid dealing with membership procedures. Or if we have to ask a question, we end up signing up and even then, we may not remember it later. Instead, I am considering allowing visitors to leave comments and even start discussions on my own forum, which is only 2 months old. What do you think? Would it be sensible to allow this to increase content input and engagement? Note: In 2 months, I have had 110 members and about 250 comments.
