What happens if the purchased theme is used on multiple sites?

I found a theme on Themeforest that I like, called Pixwell. It has dropped in price to as low as $35 currently. Even at this discounted price, it still comes out to 283 Turkish Lira. I want to use this theme on my personal blog and portfolio pages. When I contacted the developer, they naturally informed me that I would need to purchase a separate license for each site. What are the consequences if I use the same theme on multiple sites?
