What is Hamming Code?
In telecommunications, named after its creator Richard Hamming, Hamming Code is a linear error-correcting code. Hamming Code can detect and correct single-bit errors. Alternatively, the same code can be used to detect one or two-bit errors. In contrast, a simple parity code cannot detect errors where two bits are transposed; even if it does, it cannot correct them.
