I used to design for full width, but I've noticed how often the content ends up too stretched out, not very compact, and loses a bit of visual appeal, or so I think.
What is the correct width for a webpage nowadays for a website? I had been told 800px but I'm not entirely convinced. It looks too narrow on my large monitor. I wonder if those 800px can be measured in rem? Would that be better? I am already measuring some smaller margins and padding in rem, observing the behavior, I wouldn't want abrupt changes...
