What should be the maximum number of columns in a table?

Hello friends, I need to create a table with 126 columns for an incoming job. I have the create table codes ready, but I am hesitant. 126 rows is quite a number, to be honest. I think the server can handle it, but still feeling a bit anxious. I cannot use hierarchy systems like Inner Join because each column belongs to a different category and unfortunately, I cannot group them under the same category.
